Session Information

Scheduling

So, I plan most shoots at sunrise or sunset. Weekdays or weekends are fine, whatever you prefer.

Style

What kind of feel are you going for? Do you have anything particular in mind? Urban, edgy, grungy, classy, country, flowers, field, nature, etc. This helps me find the perfect location for the session.

Pinterest

Do you use Pinterest? I’d love to share a board to pin some shots you like to get a feel for what style you want. Look up some photos and pin ones you like. I’ll also add some ones I find, if you don’t like them – just delete them from the board so I know what you’re going for.

What to wear/what to bring

When planning outfits, plan on lots of layers and accessories – that is what makes the photos look best. Necklaces, chunky noticeable earrings, texture, stuff like that in contrasting colors than your clothes really makes it pop. Also, if you aren’t getting your makeup done, go a little heavier than normal with the eyeliner and mascara especially, as it shows up in photos better. And bring it with you for touch ups. Also bring hairspray, bobby pins, safety pins, etc. You never know!

It’s always nice to have a spotter for fly-away hairs, a person to touch up, etc.. especially for senior portraits!

The Process

I deliver everything from the contract to the portraits digitally via Google Drive. Once we agree to work together, I’ll send you a contract and invoice. A deposit will be due upfront with your signed contract to save your date, the other half is due the day of the shoot. If you need a different payment arrangement, just let me know.

I’ll post at least 2-3 sneak peeks on Facebook within a few days if that’s okay with you. Turn around time for all photos is 4-6 weeks, unless otherwise noted.
